Honestly, this is the whole reason Valaura exists.
Why should a good quality gym set cost hundreds of pounds? Why should you have to choose between buying something that makes you feel confident and paying for something you actually need?
Activewear should be affordable. Full stop.
I want Valaura to be for regular working people. People who love the gym, love moving their body, who know its more than just a gym set.
02 - “HOW IS IT SO CHEAP?”
We get it. You see our prices and probably think, “Okay, but the quality must be rubbish.”
Nope.
Quality is something I will never compromise on.
Every single piece is quality checked before it gets to you because I want you to open your Valaura order and immediately think, “Wow. This is actually so good.”
I don't want you to buy something because it's cheap and then regret it three washes later. Affordable doesn't have to mean poor quality.
03 - YOU'RE PAYING FOR THE CLOTHES, NOT THE LOGO
You'll notice something about Valaura - we don't put huge logos all over our clothes.
And that's very intentional.
A logo can cost pennies to add, yet suddenly the price of the clothing goes up by tens of pounds. You're not necessarily paying for better fabric or better quality.
You're paying for the name.
I'd rather put that money into the actual product.
Keeping Valaura simple also means you can wear our pieces with anything, layer them however you want and never have to worry about your outfit being covered in clashing logos.
And there's something I love about not having a logo.
If you see a girl in a Valaura set and love it, you can't just read her top and Google it.
You have to ask her where it's from & just maybe that's how you make a new gym bestie.
04 - THIS IS WHY I STARTED VALAURA
I remember once saving as much as I possibly could from a month's wage to buy a £120 pair of trainers.
I finally bought them, got home, and saw a letter saying my car tax was due.
I had to take the trainers straight back the next day.
And honestly, it wasn't about the trainers.
It was about having to choose.
No one should have to choose between something that helps them look after their physical and mental health and something essential to everyday life.
That's why I believe exercise is a necessity, not a privilege.
I've trained consistently in the gym for over five years, and I know first-hand that exercise isn't just physical. For me, the gym has been a mental escape. It's time for yourself. It's something that can genuinely change how you feel.
But for the first two years of my fitness journey, I trained in the same see-through leggings and an oversized T-shirt.
When I finally started “investing” in gymwear (and by investing, I mean begging for it for Christmas), within six months, all four pairs of shorts had ripped.
The logo means nothing!
05 - BUILT WITH OUR COMMUNITY
Valaura isn't about me sitting somewhere alone deciding what women want to wear.
I want us to build it together.
Our community will have a genuine say in the pieces we create, the colours we bring out and what comes next.
Because Valaura isn't supposed to be an exclusive club that you need a certain amount of money to join.
It's for the girl who's been training for years.
It's for the girl who's just starting.
It's for the girl who lives in the gym.
It's for the girl who only goes when she needs an hour to clear her head.
It's for everyone.
And I want Valaura to prove that you don't have to spend a fortune to have activewear you genuinely fall in love with.
